FAQ

  • HOW TO ORDER

Remember: All pieces are handmade, and crafted with utmost care + diligence. If we have your item in stock, we'll typically ship your order within 48 hours. If we do not have your item in stock (and occasionally, it's just plain difficult to keep over 500 styles in stock), we'll ship your request as soon as we finish making your piece. It may take up to 6 weeks to complete an order, but we promise to try to be as quick as possible.
If your order is particularly time sensitive, or if you need an item sooner than the given availability, please either call us at 401.440.3311, or add a note in the Special Instructions section when shopping online – we'll be happy to try and accommodate your request. Should we experience any unforeseen complications or delays with your order, we'll contact you immediately to give you an update on the status.
Since all pieces are handmade, purchased jewelry may not be identical to jewelry photographed on the website.

  • PAYMENT

Please note that your credit card will be charged at the time of placing the order.
Your personal + credit card information is used for payment processing only. We don't keep financial details on file and we will never, ever share your information with third parties.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express; we also accept payments through PayPal, as well as personal checks.

  • RETURNS

Jewelry can be returned, unworn, in its original packaging within 14 days of date of purchase for store credit. No returns or exchanges are accepted after 14 days. Shipping/insurance charges cannot be refunded. Also, please note that custom orders and specially sized pieces are non-returnable.

We cannot accept any returns without a Return Authorization Number. Call us at 401.440.3311 for a RA# prior to shipping items back to us. Ensure that the RA# is clearly marked on the outside of the package, and allow 5-7 business days to process the paperwork.

When returning items to us, the customer is responsible for all return shipping costs + insurance. We strongly recommend you track your shipment and insure the package for the full value of your purchase price.

Orders may be canceled, provided we have not started production on your pieces. Partial or full refunds may be possible on a case-by-case basis for in-production pieces at the sole discretion of Himatsingka Jewelry.

  • CARE

Our jewelry requires no special care or attention. As with most jewelry, we recommend you store your pieces in a dry place, preferably in an airtight pouch. It’s best to keep your jewelry away from grime and from extreme heat or moisture: we especially recommend removing it prior to bathing and keeping it away from hairspray, perfumes, chlorine and other chemicals. Please do not use commercial polishing liquids or pastes, as it may spoil the finish of the piece.

Over time, matte-finished jewelry can become shinier with use; oxidized metal (patina) may gradually fade with frequent wear or rough handling. Conversely, exposure to humidity and grime may eventually tarnish sterling silver and gold jewelry. (Priyadarshini is good – but she's not god, and she can't change the natural properties of metal).

If required, most of our jewelry can be easily cleaned or reoxidized. We urge you to call us at 401.440.3311 for specific care instructions. Or, you're always welcome to mail the jewelry back to us directly for refinishing (just remember to obtain a RA# from us prior to shipping) – we'll be happy to refurbish your piece for you!

  • REPAIRS

Should a piece from our collection need repair, we'll be happy to take care of it for you. Call us to obtain a Return Authorization number, and then mail the piece back to us for repair. Ensure that the RA# is clearly marked on the outside of the package. A fee may be charged, depending on the complexity of the repair. Please be sure to include your name, address, email, and phone number inside the package. We'll contact you with an estimate before we proceed.

  • JEWELRY SIZES

NECKLACES: Most necklaces are approximately 16" in length. However, depending on the design of the piece, we could make necklaces up to 32" in length – please specify a custom size in the Special Instructions field when placing your order. If there's an additional charge for the extra length, we'll call to discuss the cost prior to processing your order.

RINGS: The most common ring sizes are US 6-8. We typically stock rings in sizes US 5-8. Depending on the design of the ring, we might be able to make them in sizes US 3-12. If there's an additional charge for the custom size, we'll contact you to discuss the cost prior to processing the order.

BRACELETS: Our bracelets are typically about 7 inches in length.

BANGLES: Our medium/regular bangle is the most popular size, with an inside diameter of approximately 2.5 inches. Our small bangle has an inside diameter of approximately 6 centimeters; size large is about 7 centimeters. (And yes, we're aware that the measurements listed here are in different units).

  • MATERIALS

We use diamonds simply for their beauty and their exceptional charm, and we like to focus on being jewelry designers, not gemologists.

Our materials are purchased from the most reputable gemstone dealers and diamond cutters – our stones and metals are sustainable, ethically sourced and conflict-free. We do not keep specific carat and grading information for diamonds set in our jewelry. Depending on the piece, our studio may be able to provide an approximate estimate for the carat and quality of the diamonds used, but we cannot promise to have such information available for all jewelry.

Due to the handmade nature of our collections, diamonds and gems set in purchased jewelry may not be identical in carat and quality to gemstones photographed in corresponding pieces on the website.

  • CUSTOM ORDERS

We'd love to talk with you about a custom order. We can typically customize most jewelry to a specific size or length; we may also be able to substitute materials. And, so long it corresponds to our aesthetics and technical expertise, we can likely create a unique design just for you. Please call our studio, or fill out the Custom Order form on our website – we're always willing to help!

  • SALE

Jewelry purchased on sale cannot be exchanged or returned.
